Master the Retro Console

Arcade-Verse puts a powerful emulation engine right in your browser. Bring your own game files (ROMs) and play instantly—no installs required.

01. How to Play

  • Get a ROM File

You need a game file ending in .gba, .nes, .sfc, etc.

  • Go to Retro Console

Click Retro in the top navigation.

  • Drag & Drop

Simply drag your file onto the black screen. The game will start automatically!

02. Step-by-step: Get a ROM and play

Use a preservation site, pick a supported system, download the ROM, then play it here.

  • Go to the ROM source

Open vimm.net/vault (The Vault). This site lists games by system.

  • Choose a supported system

Pick a system that Arcade-Verse supports (e.g. Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Game Boy Advance, N64, Sega Genesis). Match the system on The Vault to the extensions we support (see Supported Systems below).

  • Download the ROM

On The Vault, select the game and download the ROM file to your computer. Keep the file as-is (e.g. .gba, .sfc, .n64).

  • Drag and drop in Arcade-Verse

In Arcade-Verse, open Retro in the top nav. Drag your downloaded ROM file onto the emulator area; the game will load and start.

Supported Systems

GBA.gba
N64.n64 .z64
SNES.smc .sfc
NES.nes
Genesis.md .bin
PS1.iso .cue

Where to find ROMs?

We do not host copyrighted content. We recommend using your own backups or public domain homebrew.

We recommend starting at The Vault for a full list of systems and games. Then choose a supported system, download the ROM, and drag and drop it in our Retro page.

Controller support

Yes. You can connect a USB or Bluetooth gamepad and play inside Arcade-Verse. The Retro emulator supports gamepads automatically—no extra setup needed in supported browsers.

Plug in your controller (or pair it via Bluetooth), open a ROM on the Retro page, and use it like you would on a real console. Buttons are mapped to the standard layout (D-pad, face buttons, Start, Select). Keyboard controls still work as a fallback.

🔒 Privacy First

Your game files are processed entirely in your browser. They are never uploaded to our servers, so your collection stays private and secure.
